The tour of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing is very popular. People love to stare
and fantasize about the presses that print out approximately $450 million a day. The huge
machines press 7,000 sheets of currency an hour as well as other documents needed by the
government like stamps, military certificates, and presidential invitations.
Unfortunately, unlike most of the other Museums and attractions in Washington, the
Bureau of Engraving and Printing has no interactive displays.
Free tickets must be picked up in advance.
