This is a nice spot to sit a get off your feet for a couple of
minutes, and certainly shouldn't be missed if you're going to the
Jefferson Memorial. On summer days the FDR Memorial can be peaceful and
inspiring, but during inclement weather it can get unpleasant because
the open air galleries don't provide much shelter. Check the weather
forecast before you plan to go. There are refreshments and benches
toward the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, so don't spend too much time
resting here.
